Brief Session Description : This session will highlight the importance of early multidisciplinary rehabilitation and parental education for preterm infants. A multidisciplinary team (MD, PT, OT, SLP) will address functional limitations and present current evidence supporting early intervention. The session will cover individualized assessment and intervention strategies across physical, occupational, swallowing, and speech-language therapies, along with parent education programs designed to enhance developmental outcomes. Participants will gain practical insights into implementing early, family-centered rehabilitation approaches for preterm infants, emphasizing the continuity of care from the NICU to the home environment.
Session Objectives:
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to identify functional limitations in preterm infants and discuss strategies for implementing early multidisciplinary rehabilitation and parental education from NICU to home.
