Dr. Fatema Newaz physiatrist completed her post-graduation January,2019. After completion she started her job at Kumudini Women’s Medical College and Hospital with responsibility of head of department (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation). With a completely new environment she established department at rural tertiary care hospital with two wings, musculoskeletal rehab and neuro-rehab and outdoor and indoor rehab. Academic session with clinical session held simultaneously at department with two physiatrists, three physiotherapists, two rehabilitation nurses and intern doctors. She attended national and international conferences, designed and deliberate workshops, poster, abstract. She received fellowship in Pain Medicine(FIPM) from India. She also has special interest on child with disability specially on children with disability. She had attended training program arranged by Enablement Netherland and she received ISPRM president cabinet grant on 2024. She had visited three international hospital to develop expertise on spinal cord rehabilitation setup SIRC(Nepal), Royal Hospital(Australia). She has been acting as scientific secretary of BSPMR(Bangladesh Society of Physical medicine and Rehabilitation) since September 2024. She has a great interest on research and till now she published 21 journals. She has been acting as Guest Editor in BSMMUJ. She is elected as Asia-Ocean representative of ISPRM AIM group on 2025, Active member of ERC committee of ISPRM and Cancer Rehab, life member of BSPMR.
