Dr. José Alexandre Carvalho Pereira, MD, is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Centre National de Rééducation Fonctionnelle et de Réadaptation (Rehazenter) in Luxembourg. He graduated in Medicine from ICBAS – University of Porto and completed his specialty training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Portugal.

In parallel with his clinical activity, Dr. Pereira is engaged in clinical research dedicated to spasticity management, serving as investigator of spastiCRYO, an ongoing randomized controlled trial evaluating interventional strategies for spasticity. His research work is closely aligned with his clinical practice, with a focus on translational, patient-centered innovation.
Fluent in Portuguese, French, English, and Spanish, Dr. Pereira is recognized for his rigorous, anatomy-driven approach and commitment to multidisciplinary rehabilitation.
Beyond clinical care, Dr. Pereira is actively involved in knowledge dissemination, contributing to international conferences, hands-on workshops, clinical demonstrations, and professional training activities, particularly in the fields of ultrasound and interventional neurorehabilitation.
