Rita Vivera Pane, MD, SpKFR Biography
Dr. Rita Vivera Pane is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (SpKFR). She is a faculty member in the Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya (UNUSA) and serves as a clinician at RSUD Haji Surabaya and Siloam Hospital Surabaya.
She is actively involved in clinical practice, education, and academic activities in rehabilitation medicine. She is interested in neuro and musculoskeletal rehabilitation, spasticity management, pain management using ultrasound and fluoroscopy guidance, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based and interdisciplinary rehabilitation approaches. Dr. Pane teaches preclinical and clinical courses in physical medicine and rehabilitation. In addition, she serves as a mentor to residents in physical medicine and rehabilitation and to fellowship programs in interventional pain management with ultrasound guidance. She regularly participates in scientific meetings and has served as a speaker in national scientific forums. Dr. Pane is committed to advancing rehabilitation medicine through clinical excellence, education, and research.
Her involvement with ISPRM has been for 2 years. She attended ISPRM in Sydney, Australia, in 2024, and met Prof. Reebye. She is very interested in the spasticity presentation held by Prof Reebye and team and wishes to learn more about spasticity from him under the ISPRM organization. Throughout 2025, she worked with Prof. Reebye and the SIG Spasticity team, ISPRM speakers, and others to disseminate knowledge about spasticity through a series of modules from Module A to Module E for physiatrists in Indonesia. At ISPRM 2025 in Marrakesh, together with Prof Reebye and the team, she introduced module A on spasticity management.
