Chueh-Hung Wu, M.D., Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at the College of Medicine, National Taiwan University. He serves as the Director of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at National Taiwan University Hospital Hsin-Chu Branch and the Director of the Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (MSKUS) Center at National Taiwan University Hospital. Additionally, he is the Secretary-general of the Taiwan Society of Neuromusculoskeletal Ultrasound (TNMSKUS). Dr. Wu earned his medical degree and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from National Taiwan University.His clinical and research expertise focuses on advanced MSKUS imaging, including sonoelastography, dynamic ultrasound, and the application of deep learning in diagnostic medicine. As a Certified Interventional Pain Sonologist (CIPS), Dr. Wu has significantly contributed to the development of ultrasound-guided interventions, including the use of botulinum toxin for managing spasticity and chronic tendon pathologies. His academic output includes over 100 peer-reviewed articles in high-impact SCI journals, such as Radiology and Advanced Science. Dr. Wu is a prominent figure in international medical education, having authored and edited 13 textbooks on MSKUS and rehabilitation medicine. He is frequently invited as a speaker and instructor at prestigious international conferences and workshops, including WFUMB, ISPRM, and AFSUMB. His achievements have been recognized globally, notably as one of the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Elsevier in 2024 and 2025.
