Adrian Martinez-De la Torre, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Functioning Epidemiology at the University of Lucerne and Group Leader at Swiss Paraplegic Research in Nottwil, Switzerland. His research focuses on the measurement and epidemiology of human functioning using the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF). He develops functioning metrics and applies advanced statistical and machine learning methods to large international datasets, including the ClinFIT and InSCI initiatives. His work aims to integrate functioning as a core health indicator in health systems, rehabilitation research, and population health monitoring.
