Britney Ha is a 2nd year medical student at the University of British Columbia (UBC) with a background in kinesiology and a strong interest in physical and rehabilitation medicine. Her training in movement science and musculoskeletal health has shaped her interest in improving functional outcomes and quality of life for individuals living with neurological and physical impairments.
Her research interests focus on neurorehabilitation, spasticity management, and targeted interventions to improve functional outcomes for individuals with neurological conditions. Britney is involved in research within the Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UBC, contributing to projects examining intramuscular nerve branch anatomy of the lower limb to inform nerve-targeting procedures for spasticity management, including cryoneurolysis. She is particularly interested in integrating anatomical research with clinical innovation to advance patient-centered rehabilitation care.
Outside of medicine, Britney enjoys staying active through indoor and beach volleyball, hot yoga, and pilates. She also enjoys baking new recipes, and creative outlets such as painting - activities that reflect her long-standing appreciation for movement, creativity, and balance beyond clinical training.
