Sandy is a Professor in the Department of Neuroscience, School of Translational Medicine at Monash University where he directs the Monash Trauma Group. His research focuses on the effects, underlying pathophysiological mechanisms, biomarkers, and treatments of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and related conditions. More recent research efforts have focused on intimate partner violence related brain injuries and brain injuries in older adults.
