Philemon Tsang is a Scientific Associate (UHN) and Advanced Practice Physiotherapist (SHN) based in Toronto, Canada. His work spans rehabilitation science, clinical practice, and translational research, with a particular focus on neuromusculoskeletal and neurological populations. Philemon’s research interests include the application of powered exoskeletons in rehabilitation, bone health following spinal cord injury (SCI), and the evaluation of bone biomarkers in models of SCI. He has been actively involved in systematic reviews, consensus-based work, and knowledge translation initiatives related to biomarkers. Philemon has a strong academic foundation in neuroscience and neuromuscular physiology. Clinically, he practices in advanced practice roles within arthritis and orthopaedics. He is actively engaged in teaching, mentorship, and collaborative research with clinicians, scientists, and individuals with lived experience to advance rehabilitation practice and outcomes.
