University of Calgary
Elizabeth Condliffe, PhD, MD, FRCPC, is a physiatrist-scientist at the University of Calgary dedicated to improving interventions that promote neuroplasticity and reduce multisystem impacts of impairments across the lifespan for individuals with cerebral palsy and other long-term neurodisabilities. She is the medical lead of the Youth Functional Independence Clinic at Alberta Children’s Hospital and co-leads the Movement Impairment Team within the RESTORE Network.
The Pediatric Onset Neuromotor Impairment (PONI) Lab that Dr. Condliffe leads leverages technological innovations and clinical tools for assessment, rehabilitation, and as assistive devices. Current projects involve innovative walking aids (eg exoskeletons), hospital-community partnerships for the delivery of power training, markerless gait analysis, and early intensive motor training, involving participants with cerebral palsy and other neuromotor impairments that begin in childhood.
