Joseph Abinader is a geriatric medicine physician (FRCPC) working as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary. His current research is focused on supporting vulnerable older adults, and has previously worked in health policy development, with a focus on policy development for vulnerable adults living in poverty. He is currently investigating health trends in low-income older adults’ post-COVID-19, and is conducting research on falls in older adults. He is also researching methods to better engage older adults in our communities, including researching the benefits of intergenerational mentorship.
