Raquel Salinas González, MD, is a Rehabilitation Physician at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. She graduated as a medical doctor from the Central University of Venezuela, completed her PM&R residency in Spain, and is currently completing her PhD.
She has more than 10 years of experience in Rehabilitation Medicine. In recent years, she has focused on Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation and Cancer Rehabilitation, especially in people with onco‑hematologic diseases. She leads the department’s Frailty Clinic, which is dedicated to assessing patients at risk of sarcopenia.
Her research interests include exercise‑based rehabilitation, biomarkers, and the use of muscle ultrasound in oncology and frailty. She also incorporates digital tools into her clinical practice. Her recent work on telemedicine‑based prehabilitation for allogeneic transplant candidates was published in early 2026.
Dr. Salinas is the clinical education lead for the rehabilitation residency program in her department.
