Omar D Khan, BSc, MD FRCPC is a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation specialist, recognized fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a Clinical Associate at Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre and an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct), Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Medicine, McMaster University.
His practice focuses on the management of Spasticity, Focal Dystonia, Chronic Migraine and MSK/Sports Medicine. He has dedicated himself to the application of Ultrasound as a tool for optimal delivery of chemodenervating agents, diagnostic and therapeutic injection procedure for management of muscle hypertonia and a wide range of interventional/regenerative musculoskeletal treatments.
He holds a passion for the understanding and application of ultrasound towards enhancing our anatomical knowledge, procedural injection skills and clinical decision-making. He is an active medical educator and an international speaker who has run and co-chaired numerous ultrasound, spasticity and cervical dystonia training courses, including cadaver-based ultrasound injection training and interactive web-based ultrasound training and workshops at several national and international congress meetings, including CAPM&R, CAOM, Toxins, WCNR and ISPRM.
