Mack is a PhD student in Clinical Neuroscience at the University of Calgary’s Cumming School of Medicine, where his research focuses on persisting symptos after concussion. He works under the supervision of Dr. Chantel Debert and is involved in multiple national and international concussion research initiatives, including the Canadian Concussion Network.
Mack is currently leading a clinical trial investigating psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy for individuals with persisting symptoms after concussion. He also conducts research in older adults with concussion, with a focus on symptom burden, recovery trajectories, and interactions with comorbidities and aging-related vulnerability. Mack brings a lived perspective to his work as a former collegiate and junior hockey player who retired due to concussions.
