Lexia Bao is a fourth-year medical student at the University of British Columbia. Born in Ottawa to a family originally from Shanghai, China, she spent part of her childhood in Shanghai and Sydney, Australia, and is a Canadian–Australian dual citizen. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology at UBC after attending an arts-specialized high school in Ottawa with formal training in visual arts. Alongside medicine, Lexia remains active as a freelance digital artist and continues to pursue creative and physical interests.
