Strengthening Spinal Cord Injury Services Across the Continuum of Care: The Iscos Standards Toolkit – Putting Research in Action

The ISCoS Standards Toolkit builds on the foundations of global frameworks and programmes surrounding SCI rehabilitation, seeking to provide pragmatic guidance to support strengthening of organisational, technical and human resource capacity for the delivery of high-quality SCI care.

The Toolkit incorporates a series of standards and key actions required, designates responsibilities, signposts to available resources and provides guidance for implementation to inform situational assessment, planning, operationalisation and monitoring of SCI services.

The workshop will
- familiarise participants with the Toolkit content
- consider the practical application in national, facility and patient-level scenarios
- provide opportunity to reflect on existing provision of SCI services
- apply the implementation methodology to strengthen rehabilitation services and promote successful community reintegration and sustained health and well-being for people sustaining and living with SCI across the world.
