Sixty patients with cerebral infarction, who were admitted through the emergency department to the neurology department, then to the rehabilitation medicine department, and finally to elderly care institutions, were randomly divided into an experimental group (30 cases) and a control group (30 cases). The experimental group received the full-cycle rehabilitation nursing plan, whereas the control group received conventional care. The duration of nasogastric tube placement, Barthel Index scores at the initial stage of illness, at 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months, the incidence of incontinence-associated dermatitis, and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Simple effect analysis showed that the Barthel Index scores at 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months were significantly higher in the experimental group than in the control group (p < 0.05). The incidence of incontinence-associated dermatitis in the experimental group was 23.33%, while in the control group it was 53.33%. The incidence in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group. The satisfaction score of the experimental group was 99.87 ± 0.43 points, and that of the control group was 96.27 ± 5.78 points. The satisfaction score of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group (p < 0.05).
Results:
Conclusion: The full-cycle rehabilitation care system has significantly enhanced the recovery of swallowing, limb, and excretory functions, shortened the rehabilitation period, reduced the incidence of complications, and improved the quality of life and satisfaction of patients. It is indeed worthy of promotion and application.
