In 2016, the National Rehabilitation Medicine Professional Medical Quality Control Center was established, constructing a quality control network covering 31 provinces across mainland in China, including 1 national level center, 32 provincial centers, 497 sentinel hospitals, and 9,138 sample hospitals. In terms of the construction of the index and standard system, medical quality control indicators for rehabilitation medicine, NCIS (National Clinical Improvement System)survey indicators have been developed.
Results:
The data From 2016 - 2024, indicate that rehabilitation medicine in China is continuously progressing in terms of bed capacity, staffing, ADL,and early rehabilitation interventions.
Conclusion:
The quality control system in Chinese rehabilitation medicine has promoted the development of the field. The growth in beds and clinicians, ADL and early intervention rate indicates positive progress in China. This benefits patients by providing improved rehabilitation services.
